The National Agency of Public Registry under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia participated in the World Bank Land Conference 2025 held in Washington, D.C., where it presented the agency’s achievements, services, and ongoing successful reforms to the session participants.

Particular attention was given to the ongoing project co-financed by the Government of Georgia and the World Bank – "Georgia Resilient Agriculture, Irrigation, and Land Project" (GRAIL), which aims to stimulate the agricultural land market and support attracting investment into agribusiness.

The event was attended by Ivane Tsartsidze, Head of the Geodesy and Geoinformation Department of the Agency, and Elene Grigolia, Land Market Development Component Manager of the World Bank’s "Irrigation and Land Market Development" Project.

This year’s Land Conference in Washington discussed key topics related to land administration and management, such as protection of land ownership rights, e-governance, urbanization and land management, land ownership rights of women, land policy, governance, and standards.

This conference is the updated version of the World Bank’s "Land and Poverty Conference," in which the Agency participates annually.

The World Bank Land Conference is a leading global event in the land sector, bringing together over 1,000 participants from various government institutions, development partners, civil society, academia, and the private sector.

The goal of the conference is to promote the sharing of practices related to land administration among countries and to facilitate the exchange of expert opinions and recommendations.
