The process of systematic land registration reform was discussed at the working meeting in Borjomi municipality

The National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) under the Ministry of Justice held a working meeting in Borjomi municipality.
David Devidze, the Chairman of the NAPR, together with his deputy, Vakhtang Bokhashvili, and representatives of the agency, discussed the process of the systematic land registration reform and the planned activities.
The working meeting was attended by the deputies of the state representative of Samtskhe-Javakheti, the mayor of Borjomi municipality, the head of Bakuriani development agency and the representatives of relevant services of the mayor's office.
Field surveying works in Borjomi municipality are in the final phase, the villages included in the administrative units will be fully surveyed step by step.
Systematic land registration is being carried out throughout Georgia in 59 municipalities of the country (except for self-governing cities and occupied territories).
As part of the reform, surveying works have been completed in 42 municipalities across the country.
National Agency of Public Registry has been surveying and registering land plots as private, state, or municipal property according to the designated time schedule since 2022.
From 2022 to date, 1 500 000 land plots have been surveyed. Property rights have been registered for more than 1 000 000 land plots.
According to the government's decision, the systematic land registration reform continues until the end of 2025. Citizens who failed to participate in the reform, the NAPR gives the opportunity until the end of 2025 to survey and register the land plot completely free of charge.
