Since 2022, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia has been implementing this reform across 59 municipalities. Within the framework of the reform, the State registers land plots free of charge for the citizens of Georgia, including plots under ownership or use, as well as those that have been arbitrarily occupied.

The current results of the ongoing reform were summarized at the event held at the Saakadze Training Base of the Training Center of Justice. The participants were addressed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze; The Chairman of the National Agency of Public Registry, Davit Devidze, delivered the presentation.

Since the launch of the project, over 1,500,000 land plots have been surveyed, and ownership rights have been registered for more than 1,000,000 land plots. Nearly 1,000 new employees have been hired and trained.

Taking into account the successful results and to ensure that no unregistered land plots remain in the country, the systematic land registration reform will continue until the end of 2025. Upon its completion, a unified and comprehensive cadastral database will be created, and private, state, and municipal ownership will be fully identified.

At the end of the event, the Minister of Justice showed the guests the equipment and tools necessary for implementing the reform, as well as the newly opened training center, the Saakadze Training Base.

The presentation of the results of the systematic land registration reform was attended by members of the executive and legislative branches, Deputy Ministers of Justice, governors (state representatives), representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the National Agency of Public Registry, authorities involved in the reform, and self-governments.
