Participants of the Week, held in Brussels, learned about current issues in company law, open data, and cybersecurity of business registers.
Within the framework of the working meeting, representatives of the NAPR discussed the latest practices, ongoing initiatives, and technological developments in the development of business registers in European countries. Attention was paid to strengthening the efficiency, transparency, and security of business registers.
Georgia is one of the countries with the best practices in business registration, where registration is possible through a single procedure on the same day. The business registration model implemented by the National Agency of Public Registry serves as an example for other countries, as confirmed by a number of international rankings.
The European Business Registry Association is the only international association in Europe in the field of business registration and brings together more than 40 registers from European countries. The Association promotes the sharing of knowledge and experience among business registers of European countries and facilitates awareness of developments, key initiatives, and trends in business registers. The National Agency of Public Registry has been a member of the European Business Registry Association (formerly ECRF) since 2012 and participates in its activities annually.
The event was attended by Sopiko Chavchanidze, Head of Entrepreneurs and Legal Entities Registration Department of the National Agency of Public Registry, and Nino Meskhi, Head of the Business Registration Service of the Entrepreneurs and Legal Entities Registration Department.
