Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, Tamar Zodelava, is participating in the 16th Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM). Together with representatives of the National Agency of Public Registry, the Deputy Minister presented Georgia's vision and successful reforms in the field of geospatial information management to the international community.
As part of the event, thematic sessions were held during which the Georgian delegation showcased innovative products introduced in the fields of land and immovable property administration, as well as the results of the country's digital transformation.
UN-GGIM is one of the leading international platforms dedicated to geospatial information management. Its annual sessions bring together representatives of government institutions from Member States, international and academic organizations, and leading experts. The Committee aims to promote the effective management and use of geospatial information, strengthen international cooperation in this field, and support the implementation and further development of the United Nations Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (UN-IGIF).
Participation in the Committee's session provides Georgia with an important opportunity to further strengthen its international standing in the field of geospatial information management, establish new professional partnerships with participating countries and leading experts, exchange knowledge on international best practices, and facilitate their implementation in Georgia.
