Land Management, Digital Transformation: Sharing Experience and Exploring Opportunities for Cooperation at the UN Public Service Forum

The National Agency of Public Registry is participating in the United Nations Public Service Forum organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
 
As part of a thematic session, Deputy Minister of Justice Tamar Zodelava and a representative of the National Agency of Public Registry, Elene Grigolia, Land Market Development Component Manager of the World Bank’s “Irrigation and Land Market Development” Project, met with high-level government officials and international experts and presented key projects currently being implemented by the Public Registry.
 
During the meeting, representatives of the Ministry shared their experience regarding innovations in the fields of land administration, land management, and geospatial information management. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of international cooperation, knowledge sharing, and strengthening partnerships.
 
Within the session, Elene Grigolia presented Georgia’s Systematic Land Registration Reform, successfully implemented by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the National Agency of Public Registry. She also discussed the development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and the Public Registry’s innovative digital service, the Smart Contract, which enables citizens to conclude real estate transactions and register as individual entrepreneurs remotely, securely, and conveniently.
 
The thematic session was attended by experts working in the fields of land administration and geospatial information management from Australia, Thailand, Brazil, Ghana, and Nepal. Participation in the United Nations Public Service Forum and high-level thematic meetings provides an important opportunity for the National Agency of Public Registry of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia to continue advancing modern, accessible, and citizen-centered services.
