National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) Shared Its Successful Digital Transformation Experience with Participants of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) Event

Participants of the annual event of the FIG were introduced to the successful projects and high-tech, innovative services implemented by the NAPR under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

During the thematic sessions, the NAPR shared with conference participants the process of developing the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI), Georgia’s first multifunctional National Geoportal NSDI.GOV.GE, the capabilities of the innovative “Smart Contract” service, and the Georgian model of land administration.

At this year’s event, held in the Republic of South Africa, participants from the NAPR included Eliso Gelashvili, Deputy Chairperson of the Agency; Elene Grigolia, Land Market Development Component Manager of the World Bank’s Irrigation and Land Market Development Project, Mari Khardziani, Head of the International Relations Service, Nika Jashiashvili, Chief Product Officer, and representatives from various departments of the Agency.


The FIG General Assembly and Congress is one of the largest international events for surveyors and geospatial professionals, bringing together more than 1,200 delegates from over 70 countries. The Congress features more than 70 technical and professional sessions, as well as an exhibition of services and innovations.

NAPR has been a member of FIG since 2022 and actively participates in its annual events. The Congress serves as an important international platform for the NAPR to strengthen professional cooperation and share expertise with the global surveying and geospatial community.
