In the World Bank’s Business Ready (B-READY) 2025 ranking, Georgia ranks 4th among 101 countries worldwide, and 2nd in operational efficiency dimension.
The reforms and innovative services implemented by the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) under the Ministry of Justice received high recognition in the World Bank’s assessment.
The NAPR’s large-scale reform of systematic land registration, the innovations introduced under the Law of Georgia on Entrepreneurs, and other projects made a significant contribution to the country’s strong international ranking.
This international recognition once again confirms the sustainability of the reforms carried out by the NAPR and the high quality of its services.
The innovative and accessible services introduced at the NAPR, the simplicity of registration procedures, high standards, and transparency of information contribute to improving the business environment and stimulating economic activity in the country.
The World Bank’s B-READY ranking provides a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the business environment for private sector development. The indicators cover three stages: starting a business, operating and expanding a business, and closing a business.
Each indicator is assessed across three dimensions: operational efficiency, regulatory framework, and public services.
It is noteworthy that in 2024 the ranking assessed 50 countries, while in 2025 it expanded to 101 countries. Along with the increase in the number of countries, the assessment criteria for the indicators were also expanded.
