The National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia hosted the Kyrgyz delegation and shared its experience in developing the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).
The Chairman of the NAPR, David Devadze, together with his deputies and representatives of relevant departments, presented a detailed overview of the development of geospatial data.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to the innovative services and projects implemented by the Agency, the systematic land registration reform, and the country’s first multifunctional geoportal, NSDI.GOV.GE.
The National Geoportal serves as a unified platform for sharing spatial data. It provides access to spatial information owned by public institutions, their subsidiary legal entities, local self-government bodies, and other organizations.
Following the presentation, the meeting continued in a Q&A format, allowing the guests to discuss topics of interest in more detail.
The working meeting was held with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing, and Utilities of Kyrgyzstan.
The NAPR is one of the major producers of core geospatial data in Georgia and plays an active role in advancing the geospatial sector.
The National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) is a unified, coordinated system that ensures the efficient management of standardized, reliable, and up-to-date spatial data created by public institutions and facilitates their easy sharing. This information is made accessible to users through the common access platform — the National Geoportal.
