Representatives of the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) of the Ministry of Justice, together with experts from one of Europe’s leading universities – KU Leuven – held a working meeting at Kutaisi International University.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Justice, Giorgi Dgebuadze, the Chairman of the National Agency of Public Registry, Davit Devidze, representatives of the agencies involved in the development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure, and the Rector of Kutaisi International University.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to innovation and research, training of qualified human resources, professional development, and support for education in the sector. The involvement of experts helps ensure that the ongoing process aligns with EU standards.
Cooperation with educational institutions will enable the creation of the first innovative academic program in the field, combining global experience and encouraging student participation
Within the framework of National Spatial Data Week, representatives of the Ministry of Justice also met with students of Kutaisi International University.
The students were given detailed information on the digital process of the land systematic registration reform, NAPR’s innovative service “Smart Contract,” and other high-tech services. Moreover, the students had the opportunity to receive direct responses to their questions from international experts.
KU Leuven is one of Europe’s prestigious universities with a centuries-long tradition, renowned for its pioneering research in data science, geographic information systems, and digital governance.
