The National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia continues close cooperation with local self-government bodies.
The purpose of the working meetings is to increase coordination between municipalities and the local population, as well as to encourage active involvement of those citizens in the land registration reform who have not yet received services.
An informational visit was held with the State Representatives of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Kakheti, Shida Kartli, and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions, along with representatives of local municipalities.
Davit Devdize, Chairman of the NAPR, along with the First Deputy Chairman Nikoloz Aznaurashvili and other representatives of the agency, spoke to the meeting participants about the results of the systematic land registration reform and discussed future plans.
As of now, approximately 124,910 land plots have been surveyed in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, around 260,290 in Kakheti, about 204,730 in Shida Kartli, approximately 166,180 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and around 106,490 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti.
Ownership rights have already been registered for more than 600,000 land plots, and the process continues.
Surveying works under the systematic land registration reform are carried out by certified surveyors using modern, high-precision instruments. As a result, high-quality data is being created.
Land plots are surveyed and registered by registration blocks. Each landowner confirms the boundary with their neighboring plots, which facilitates the reconciliation process between neighbors and significantly reduces the likelihood of future disputes.
Since 2022, more than 1,900,000 land plots have been surveyed. Ownership rights have been registered for over 1,300,000 of them.
By government decision, the systematic land registration reform will continue until the end of 2025.
Citizens who have not yet participated in the reform have the opportunity to submit an application for land plot measurement at Public Service Halls, local self-government offices, or on the web portal slr.napr.gov.ge.
NAPR’s surveying teams will contact every citizen before the reform is completed and provide the necessary services.
Once the systematic land registration reform is complete, comprehensive legal and cadastral data on real estate will be available nationwide, each owner's rights will be protected, and the real estate market will further develop.
